Loving words leads me to madly scribble some days just like a writer should. Other days, I lay down a few syllables and let them wander—sometimes into formations that stick, sometimes into fragments that stay loose. On this site: what I have to show for all the hunting and gathering.

In 2019 I’m touring the country to share a 14 poem series called the Means of Protection. The poems examine the link between safety and risk, and the tour invites audience members to explore this connection in real time. Have a listen to my voice reading a few of the poems and consider coming to a reading to add your own.

See that multi-colored membrane hanging in the doorway? Its the Means of Protection Wall, and it’s a focal point at my readings—a symbol of both the fears we carry and the unexpected ways we gain safety.
